About St. Thomas More School
|
A
little over 10 years ago these three excellent schools, St.
Francis Xavier Cathedral, Saints Peter and Paul, and St.
Mary of the Angels joined together to form a single
consolidated school, St. Thomas More. Today St. Thomas More
School, an accredited school, continues to thrive and
provide children with a high quality Catholic education. St.
Thomas More School is committed to providing an excellent
Catholic education for its students. While keeping up with
current trends and technologies, tried and trusted ideals of
FAITH, HONOR, DUTY, and COMMUNITY SERVICE are still part of
the curriculum.

St. Thomas More Curriculum
|
St. Thomas More School
believes in educating the whole child in every
aspect of their development.
Spiritually,
a respect for God, self, and others is stressed
through a study of the Catholic faith and by
developing a value system. Prayer and the
importance of Jesus in our life are shown
through the celebration of student planned
weekly liturgies and daily prayer in the
classroom.
Mentally,
students are challenged through classes that
prepare student to carry out their roles as
workers and citizens in a world increasingly
shaped by mathematics, science, and technology.
Culturally,
students have opportunities to grow through
their social studies classes, Spanish classes,
and by attending events at the Weidner Center
for Performing Arts. Music classes are an
important part of the curriculum for all. Middle
school students have an opportunity to be a part
of the school band.
Socially,
students are encouraged to create lasting
friendships with love and respect for all. An
atmosphere of cooperation with others is
stressed.
A commitment of
service to those in
need is a priority. Students help out at Paul's
Pantry on a regular basis.
